I do strategy work on operations, with a focus on helping CEOs, Boards and PE firms evolve the enterprise they have into the one they need.
I came to this by doing the work from the inside. Before consulting, I spent more than a decade in finance: fund and partner-capital reporting at a private equity firm, Board and regulatory reporting at a bank, and a year as CFO of a small company, where I upgraded four systems and united three separate offices into one team. Four times, my job was putting new software into a finance function without breaking the numbers.
Before finance, I served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic sergeant, from 2001 to 2009, with two combat deployments. I led a team of three line medics supporting a 100-person infantry company in combat. I trained 95% of that company as Combat Lifesavers. I learned there that a plan is only as good as the people who can carry it out under pressure, and that someone must check that it still works.
The same three things decide whether a business wins: the skills of its people, how well they use their tools, and whether its leaders lead or only manage. Strategy that ignores any of the three does not hold.
I do the work myself. The person you talk to is the person who reads your evidence, builds your plan and comes back to check it. I sell no third-party software and take no commissions, so I have no product to steer you toward.
I have no client list to show you. All client work is under strict NDA. What I have is a record you can check, samples built on made-up companies, a fixed fee, and a dashboard that shows you the results while I work.
