Big-firm strategy, done by one senior person, who comes back and proves it worked.

For CEOs, founders, Boards, PE firms and executive teams. Small business to global enterprise.

Your enterprise was never built on purpose.

It grew over years. A system added here. A team added there. An AI tool bought by a department that nobody put on a list. Each patch made sense that day. Together they run today, but they do not run toward the plan.

Now the Board, the CEO and senior leaders want to evolve it: reach more markets and customers, and still return the investment. Three questions stand in the way, and nobody inside can answer them honestly.

Anatomy of a patchwork enterprise

Nobody designs an enterprise like this. It builds up one reasonable decision at a time.

Each layer holds patches added in different years by different owners. Some links between patches are solid and documented. Others are dotted: a spreadsheet, an export, a person who remembers. 1. Patches. A system added for one team, one year, one problem.
2. Hand links. A spreadsheet or a person carries the work from one system to the next.
3. Unlisted AI. A tool a department bought, or a feature inside software you already pay for, that no one put on a list.
4. The plan gap. The plan says one thing. The layers underneath do another.

Fixing it starts with seeing it. That is the Assess step.

The three questions

1. Are you all on the same page?

The Board, the CEO and senior leaders write down the same answers. The differences show up next to your plan and your budget.

2. Are you exposed to more risk than you realize?

Every risk gets a dollar value, a named owner, a current control and a record of whether the control was ever tested.

3. Will you still be competitive in tomorrow’s environment?

The capabilities your plan needs, set against what your people, process, software and AI can do today.

How it works

1. Assess

The current state: people, process, software and AI.

2. Compare

It to your mission, vision and strategic plan.

3. Plan

Options priced on the same cost lines, an owner for every step.

4. Prove

A live dashboard, and a return visit at each milestone.

The AI-CYA framework

Every milestone in the plans I build is held to the AI-CYA four rules: Own it, Contain it, Check it, Prove it. A named person is accountable, the limits are set in advance, an approver reviews the result and a test shows it works. I developed and own the framework, and I teach it through the AI-CYA newsletter and training.

Value is shown live, not claimed.

Every engagement targets at least ten times my fee in measured value to you: revenue, cost, capacity, risk, cash, speed. You get a dashboard in your own systems. It shows where each number started, where it is now and where it must get to. The CEO, the Board and the PE sponsor can open it any day. If a number drifts, it alerts.

A target is not a guarantee. If a number falls behind, I re-plan with you.

Who I work with

That outgrew the way they run.

PE-backed companies

With a value-creation plan to deliver.

Where the Board and management need one plan.

One division at a time, through a Board or Audit Committee mandate.

Questions executives ask

How do PE firms check for hidden AI risk in portfolio companies?

I start with one portfolio company and assess its people, process, software and AI, including AI switched on inside software it already pays for. Each risk goes into an Exposure Register with a named owner, a dollar estimate agreed with that owner, the current control and whether that control was ever tested. This covers operations only, not investment or deal advice. Book a call to discuss your portfolio.

How does a Board know its systems match the strategic plan?

The Board, the CEO and senior leaders answer the same short questions in writing. I set those answers beside the written plan and the budget in an Alignment Map and mark every difference. A Readiness Gap then sets the capabilities the plan needs against what the enterprise has today, with the cost and order for closing each gap. Book a call to see how it works.

What does an enterprise alignment assessment include?

It assesses people, process, software and AI and compares them with your mission, vision and strategic plan. You receive a current-state record with evidence for every finding, the Alignment Map, the Exposure Register, the Readiness Gap, an Actionable Plan with an owner and a control for each step, a Board Summary and a live value dashboard. A typical engagement runs about 12 weeks. Book a call.

How is value measured after a strategy engagement?

Before work starts, the metrics are taken from your own systems over the trailing twelve months and signed by the person who owns each one. At each milestone I rerun the same extract and compare it with that baseline. A live dashboard in your own environment shows the result. The target is at least ten times my fee over 24 months, a measured target and not a guarantee. Book a call.

Is the fee fixed or hourly?

Every engagement is one fixed fee, agreed in writing before work begins. I do not bill by the hour or by the day. The fee is set by the value at stake and the scope of the work, and I test it against your own numbers before I quote. If the case does not stand, I narrow the scope or decline. Book a call to discuss your situation.

Tell me the decision on your desk and the date it is due.
